Andy is the third generation of Steadman Brothers Funeral Home. He was born and raised in Brigden and is the oldest son of Lyle Steadman. Andy originally went to Humber College in 1976 and completed the Paramedics Program and later went back to Humber College for the Funeral Service Education Program, receiving his Ontario Funeral Directors Licence in 1982. Andy and his brothers operated Steadman’s Brigden and District Ambulance Service until 2000 when the private companies were downloaded onto Lambton County. At his time his father Lyle and uncle Paul were looking to retire from the funeral home, so Andy and his brother Dave took over Steadman Brothers Funeral Home in 2001. Andy still resides in Brigden with his wife Mary where they raised three children: Erica, Mark and Erin. Andy is well known for his dedication to the community as a member of Leopold Lodge #397 Brigden, a volunteer with Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV), a member of the Professional Car Society – Trillium Chapter, and is the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Brigden Seniors Apartments.
