David M. Steadman

Dave is the third generation of Steadman Brothers Funeral Home. He was born and raised in Brigden and is the third son of Lyle Steadman. In 1981 Dave graduated the Culinary Management Program at George Brown College in Toronto and then finished his Chef Apprentice Certificate Program in 1983. Dave then took the Paramedics Program at Conestoga College and graduated in 1990 with his E.M.C.A. Dave and his brothers operated Steadman’s Brigden and District Ambulance Service until 2000 when the private companies were downloaded onto Lambton County. At this time, his father Lyle and uncle Paul were looking to retire from the funeral home, so Dave and his brother Andy took over Steadman Brothers Funeral Home in 2001. Dave still resides in Brigden with his wife Mary where they raised three children: Jeffrey (Katie), Heather and Kevin. Dave happily shows his commitment to community as a member of Leopold Lodge #397 Brigden, a volunteer with Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV) Petrolia, a member of Black Creek Golf Course in Oil Springs, a member of the Professional Car Society – Trillium Chapter and a member of the Legacy Lappers.
