JOHNSON, Leonard Arnold- It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Johnson announce his passing on Monday, November 24, 2025 at C.E.E Hospital, Petrolia at the age of 72. Leonard was born on May 13, 1953 to the late Helen and Arnold Johnson. He spent most of his life as a truck driver, travelling the USA and Canada. A real cowboy at his ranch, which he loved in Alberta. He loved being on the road in his truck or on his bike. As he said,” It has been a great ride”. Leonard was a proud father to his daughters, Roxanne (Paul) Hendrick and Stacey (Kurtis) Gauthier, his grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Easton, Emersyn Gauthier and Kelsey Hendrick. He was blessed with friendships over the years and created numerous memories that they will cherish. Leonard is survived by sisters, Elaine (late John) Hyatt, Katherine Johnson (Bob Briggs), and Linda (Larry) Zavitz, along with nieces and nephews, with great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of C.E.E. Hospital when he was in Petrolia, University of Alberta Hospital and the Cross Clinic, as well as many friends and family, for the care and support shown over the last years.
Funeral Details
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Sunday, November 30th from 2-4pm at the Wyoming Lions Hall (554 Main Street, Wyoming).
Donations
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Leonard to be directed to The Canadian Cancer Society cancer.ca (Cheques only please).
