Ayrheart, Allan LeRoy “Roy” – Roy passed away at age 85 on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the C.E.E. Hospital in Petrolia. Roy was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Minnice) for 45 years. He was the loving stepfather of Kim Scott (Mike Hyatt) and dear Papa of Jakob and Emma Scott. He is survived by his nieces and nephews David, Danny, Darlene, Debbie, Denise, and Anna Peterman (Bill), as well as his sister-in-law Hellen Millenaar and half sister Shirley McLean (Gary). He is predeceased by his father Orval, mother Jean Napper, brother Orville Ayrheart, and stepmother Irene Ayrheart. He will be missed by all who knew him. Roy was a tough old guy who had more lives than a cat, and a heart bigger than most people. He was a proud Hard Oiler and Oil Producer. From working on his family’s oil field to selling insurance at what was then London Life, Roy was a positive and hardworking man. His love for the saying ‘Get ’er done’ was well known. He enjoyed woodworking, feeding and watching the birds and bunnies, a crisp Diet Coke, and telling a good story. He was a member of the Rotary Club for several years, and spent many summers camping at Jellystone and then Carolinian Forest Campground. He will be remembered for his determination, optimism, and love for his family. We are honouring Roy’s wishes as no service or visitation will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice www.stjosephshospice.ca

  8. Mary & Family
We were so saddened to hear of Roy’s passing. He will be missed by all that knew him. He was a ray of sunshine, aways ready for a chat and a laugh, even when he wasn’t feeling the best his concern was for others, alway asking how they were doing. Larry is especially thankful for their 77 years of friendship starting at SS20 and happy that they had a chance to chat while he was in hospital and after his return home.
RIP Roy you will never be far from our hearts.
