BURGER, Jacob “Jake” – Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the age of 74. Loving husband of Karen (White) and special friend of Buddy. Brother-in-law of Bill (Janice) White of Plympton-Wyoming, Bob White of Petrolia, Sharen (Dave) Willson of St. Thomas, Maureen (late Bob) Yaskovic of Mooretown. Also survived and loved by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents. Jake immigrated to Canada in 1968 to build silos for Fred McCormick, later became a licensed mechanic at Ron Clark Motors for over 30 years. Jake was a long-time member of the Petrolia Lions Club and an avid sports fan of Nascar and Hockey.

Funeral Details
Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 a celebration of Jake’s life will be held at a later date when it is safe for everyone to gather.

Karen,Bill,Bob,Sharen,Maureen and families…so shocked to hear of Jake’s passing….i still remember the night almost 40 yrs ago when Jake came out to Oil City late at night after a Squires game to look at Bonita’s car in her Dad’s garage as it wouldn’t start and he volunteered to fix it….it was very cold that night but that was the kind of guy he was always willing to help someone in need…take care at this time and i will say a prayer for all of you tonight…..Bernie Baillargeon,Windsor,Ont
