HASSON, Lyle Harvey, age 80, of Corunna, passed away on Monday August 23, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Agnes “Army” Hasson. Loved and respected father of Linda (Hugh) McLachlan, of Oil Springs; Dianne Turner of Calgary; Lisa (Tim) Hedges, Harrow; step-daughter Diane (Raymond) McLain, Morehead, Kentucky; step-son Ray Melton of Alvinston. Dear grandfather of Shawn (Christine) McLachlan, Scott McLachlan, Stacey (Tom) Alderman, Nadine Powers and Stephanie (Dan Thompson) Powers. Step-grandfather of Braidie and Jamie Hedges. Great grandfather of Brody Alderman. Survived by step-sister Leona (Doug) Pearson, London. Sister-in-law Esther Hasson , Glencoe as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Dennis, brothers Kenneth and Clayton (Ruth) Hasson, son-in-law Ron Powers. Lyle was employed by Union Gas Ltd for 36 years, a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sarnia and past member of the Evergreen Hunt Club, Haliburton. He served on Petrolia Municipal council for 14 years as Deputy Reeve and 2 years as Mayor of Petrolia.

Friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, BRIGDEN on Wednesday August 25, 2010 from 6 to 9pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral services on Thursday August 26, 2010 at 11:00am. Rev. Dr. Roger Ellis officiating.

INTERMENT
Interment Hillsdale Cemetery Petrolia.
