It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of RETA EVELYN (HORNER) SWAIN at Fiddick’s Nursing Home Petrolia on Monday September 29, 2008 at the age of 84. Beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Lucinda (Beggs) Horner. Loving wife of the late Jack Swain (1969). Survived by her children Connie (Tom) Holmes, Linda (Terry) Lumley, Dick (late Patricia) (2007) Swain. Dear grandmother of six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Marie, Florence, Hazel and brother Lyle.

Friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME BRIGDEN on Wednesday October 1, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Funeral Service on Thursday Oct, 2nd at 11:00 am. Bonnie Harvey officiating. Interment to follow at Wilkesport Cemetery.

Reta was born and raised in Wilkesport and will always be remembered for her gift of being able to play the piano by ear. She shared this gift with her family and friends and later in her life donated her time to local retirement homes to entertain residents with her piano playing.
