WILSON, Vera Jean Marie (Simpson)-passed away peacefully on her 98th birthday (May 14, 1927 – May 14, 2025) at Bear Creek Terrace, Petrolia. She will be reunited with her husband and the love of her life, Roy, who passed in 2006. She was loved and will be missed by her children, Carol and Mark Faasse and Brian and Silvia Wilson, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and her extended Simpson and Wilson families. Predeceased by all of her siblings and their spouses and several Wilson family in-laws. Jean retired from Douglas Keddy Shoes after a long retail career. She was always a very willing volunteer at Parker Street United Church, Delta Chi Sigma Sorority, Meals on Wheels, and Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. A special thank you to Dr John Butler and all of the staff at Bear Creek Terrace, Barkely Unit for the compassionate care she received during her stay there.
Visitation
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 23, 2025 for visitation from 11am to 12pm at Steadman Brothers Funeral Home, Brigden.
Funeral Service
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 12pm from the Funeral Home, Brigden. Interment to follow at Alvinston Cemetery.
