ANDERSON, Bruce Robert – Age 63 of Brigden, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Marlene (Collins) Anderson for 43 years. Loving father of Jason (Stacey Brown) Anderson, Tara Anderson (Terry Gruben), Tammy Anderson (Gary Hummell). Cherished grandfather of Courtlyn, Ryanne, Adam Fiddler, Vanessa, Alysha and Alex Anderson, Wyatt Richardson, Blake and Reese Hummell. Dear brother of Leslie (Julie) Anderson, Mona-May (Harold) Thompson, Norma Jean White, Irene (Neil) Jardine and in-laws Pat (Gary) Cook, Frances (Bill) Buck, Harvey (Carol) Collins and Lorrie Ann Forbes. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Elsie (Maitland) Anderson, in-laws Evelyn (Ross) Dodge, Gordon White and Doug Collins. Bruce had a great love and joy for horseback riding and cherished the friends he made along the way. He was a member of Farmers and Friends Conservation Club, a 36 year Lifetime Member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and served over 25 years with the Boy Scouts of Canada.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

MEMORIAL SERVICE
Memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00am from the Funeral Home.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or Lambton Upland Game Bird – Pheasants Forever.

  9. Marlene, We are so sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. We haven’t seen Bruce for quite a few years but remember him fondly when he was in the CCGA C&A as a Member, Unit Leader and Deputy Director. We always had a bit of fun together and Bruce had a good sense of humour. I remember one time at the last minute they hurriedly put an inflatable back together for an exercise. The steering hydraulics were reversed so they had to steer in the opposite direction. It was funny to see but they made it through the day. Bruce took a ribbing with his usual good humour. RIP Bruce.
