Beazley, Roger

June 9, 1942 ~ April 12, 2018

BEAZLEY, Roger George – Age 75 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Loving father of Julie Beazley, Sean Beazley and Brad (Deirdre Park) Beazley. Cherished grandfather of Liam Murillo Beazley. Predeceased by his parents George Alfred and Helen Louise (Armstrong) Beazley and his infant brother Robert. RIP Dad/Grandpa. Our hearts are broken and you will be missed beyond measure. Such a sweet, generous, supportive, gentle giant with an enormous heart, smile and spirit. We love you to infinity and beyond. Roger lost his left leg above his knee to osteomyelitis after incurring multiple injuries to his knee due to his love of sports. He was a huge basketball enthusiast and was an enormous Raptors fan. His amputation was never a disability to him. He never let it deter him from the things he loved to do. Fishing and travel being two of his passions, he loved nothing more than doing those things with his kids. Roger was an incredibly loving, supportive Grandpa to his Grandson Liam. He accompanied Liam on many of his medical appointments to Sick Kids Hospital. They shared a very special bond. And we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the love and companionship shared between Roger and Willow – the sweet husky he adopted from The Sarnia & District Humane Society. RIP to one of the most generous hearts we have met.

At the family’s request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.

  1. To Roger’s family….What an absolute delight it was to be referred to Roger, for my orthotic needs many years ago! Always the gentleman, and so informative and friendly!!! Every visit included a great story from Roger about his career, family and travels. His work was superb, and indeed, his orthotics, enabled me to ‘comfortably’ work to retirement in my busy Nursing career! I shall never forget him and am eternally grateful. My deepest sympathy is sent to each and every one of you as you walk thru this great loss…..

  2. Our deepest condolences to the family. Roger was always so pleasant and truly a pleasure to have around. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

  3. To all of Roger’s family
My heartfelt condolences to all of you at the loss of your Dad, Grandpa.
I met Roger about 35 years ago when I went to London for some shoe inserts. He was a compassionate, gentle soul who always made one feel very special. Needless to say, I was THRILLED when he moved to Wyoming and opened his own practice in the Sarnia area. We had many long conversations on family, business, real estate and life in general.
After his retirement – which I was very sad to see – we kept in touch through emails and he shared his love for his travel south, often telling me about his little piece of heaven.
He was a true ‘gentleman’ and will be missed by the many people that he has touched with his kindness over the years. I am sorry for your loss.
