SOMES, Fredrick James – age 90 passed away peacefully at Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Predeceased by his wife Roberta “Lillian” (Gatecliff) Somes of 65 years. Loving father of Patricia Ward. Dear grandfather to Daryl (Nicole) and Lindsay. Special great-grandfather to Summer, Jace and Zak. Dear brother to Nettie Nutt. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Nettie Somes, his siblings Joyce (Don) Cooper, Marie (Cliff) Lumley, Dean Nutt, Charlie Somes, Jacob Somes and Liz (Jim) Johnson. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. We are eternally grateful to all who supported and assisted Fred and his family in his last years. Your time, understanding, generosity and kindness were very much appreciated, thank you, the family of Fred Somes.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
