IMG 0668CHEDORE, Gloria Jean – Age 82, of Sarnia, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Winston Chedore and beloved partner of the late Ken Turner. Loving mother of Connie (Alan) Heidrich and Robert Chedore. Cherished grandmother of Haley Heidrich, Brett and Ryan Chedore. Dear sister of Richard (Jan) Worsley, Jim (Rita) Worsley. Survived by many nieces and nephews and by many longtime friends and more recently met friends.   Predeceased by her siblings Robert (Lynn Fitchet) Worsley, Florence (Ernie) Bonin and Norman (Sandy) Worsley. Gloria bravely fought a long battle with cancer and is now pain free.  Mom/Grandma/Gloria will be missed by all who knew her.  Special thanks to ‘Auntie’ Irma who has been a wonderful friend to Mom and to Connie, Alan and Haley, she is part of our family forever.  Special thanks to Dr Julie Lebert, Dr. Evan Lilly, Dr. Kim and all the Oncology nurses and staff at Bluewater Health, and volunteer Lila, all always kind, caring and compassionate to Mom.  Thanks to the kind PSWs from the VON and Bayshore, and other health care workers that helped Mom recently at home.  There will be no visitation or services at Steadman Brothers Funeral Home.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society https://cancer.ca/ or Sarnia and District Humane Society https://www.sarniahumanesociety.com/.

Gloria and I had some very special times working together for all those years and they are nothing but fond memories. We will be thinking of you and may her memory be blessing to you all.

  3. Gloria was a lovely lady and will be missed greatly in the neighbourhood. It was always such a pleasure to chat with her when she was able to walk her adorable little dog. I’m sure your happy memories will keep her forever in your hearts!! Sincere condolences to all the family.
