GORDON ARTHUR CHIVERS
October 2, 1938 – June 15, 2025

We are sad to announce Gordon Chivers passed away peacefully on June 15th at Chatham-Kent Hospice. Gordon is now with his beloved partner Shirley Carroll of 44 years. Gordon leaves behind many family and friends. He leaves behind his three daughters, Linda (Robert) Gregory, Louise (Rolf) Koch-Schulte and Lisa (Scott) Turnbull. Stepchildren Glenn (Chere), Ellen (Carson), Tom, Dwain, and Jo-Ann (Chris), and the late Roberta. His grandchildren: Candice and Corey, Sherri and DJ, and Michael. Three great grandchildren Joseph, Addyson and Genavieve. Gord also leaves behind one sister Jean Chivers, and mother of his children Jeannette Chivers. He will also be greatly missed by all of Shirley’s family. Gordon was born on Oct. 2 1938 in Sarnia he had 5 siblings which unfortunately did not grow up with. Having an unhappy childhood did not stop Gordon from living life to the fullest his way. Anyone who knew him would be fascinated in listening to him talk about all his life’s ambitions whether they were legal or not. Gordon and Shirley shared many adventures together. We would like to thank the Chatham Hospital for all their care for Gordon the last 3 months, and a big thanks to Chatham-Kent Hospice for making Gordon’s last 5 days comfortable for him and family. There will be no services for Gordon or celebration of life. These were his wishes. Sympathy donations would be greatly accepted to the Canadian Cancer society http://www.cancer.ca.
