davis-picDAVIS, Eleanor Loraine (nee Lambkin) – Peacefully on September 22, 2016 in her 97th year Eleanor Davis passed away at Heritage Court Residence in Dresden. Eleanor lived in Dresden and was formally of Wilkesport. Born in Enniskillen Township September 28, 1919 to the late Joseph and Catherine (Arnold) Lambkin. Predeceased by husband of 50 years, George, in 1994. Survived by children Barbara and Ken Sitzes of Oil City, Marguerite and Richard White of Sarnia, Connie and the late Lee McDonald of Dawn Township, Leslie and Debbie Davis of Wilkesport and Kenneth and Dorothy Davis of Sarnia. 11 grandsons and 1 grand daughter and 21 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother in-law Jim and Doris Davis. Predeceased by her sister Katherine and Wesley Metcalf and sister-in-law Violet and David Dadson. She and George spent many years camping and travelling and she enjoyed many trips with friend Mildred.

SERVICE
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10am to the service time at 11am. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

  1. I will miss her warm, gentle presence at the Sunday afternoon services at Heritage Court. Prayers of thanks for her long life from the congregation of St. Andrew’s (and Rutherford) Presbyterian Church in Dresden.

  2. Sending the family and friends my thoughts and prayers she was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed my time I spent with her at Heritage Court while I worked there I will surely miss her warm smile she gave everyday and all my hugs love Sharon Fields

  3. Memories of tobogganing with your family as kids and re-connecting with your mom in later years as she and my mom (Mildred) travelled and simply kept each other company so many days. She was a life long dear friend to my mom and I’m sure many others. Condolences.
