DURANCE, Brenda Maria (nee Lacey) – Age 74, of Sarnia passed away peacefully at Twin Lakes Terrace Nursing Home, Sarnia on Monday, September 22, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Durance (2021). Loving mother of Candace (Jason) Durance-Arsenault, Jason (Karli) Durance and Timothy Durance. Special grandmother of Curtis and Abby Arsenault, Tucker and Van Durance. Dear sister to Sheila (the late Gord) Taylor, Linda (the late Don) Richardson, Doug (Jackie) lacey and the late Jr (2024). Survived by many friends, cousins and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Gladys Lacey. Brenda will be missed by all who knew her. Brenda was a funny, caring mother and friend, many remember her as the BEST waitress at the Chipican Restaurant in Sarnia. A special thank you to all the staff at Twin lakes Terrace for their compassionate and caring services.
Funeral Details
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Ex-Servicemen’s Association, 503 Michigan Ave. Point Edward Ontario N7V 1G4.

Candy and family, my condolences on the loss of your mother. She has endured a painful journey these past few years. So hard to see a loved one suffer like that, and so painful to have to say goodbye. Thinking of you Candy ❤️
