GLASS, Douglas Norman Carl – Age 75 of Sarnia, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Beloved husband of Betty Glass (nee VanTroost). Loving father of Wade (Trish), Cassandra, Wendy (Steve). Cherished by his many grandchildren. Survived by nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and mother-in-law Madeline Van Troost. Predeceased by his parents, sister Cheryl Cornell (1969) and infant son Donald (1982). Survived by his children from his previous marriage Jeff (Michelle), Shelly, and Susan. Doug was a trucker for many years and also was the owner of Three Anchors Restaurant in Sarnia. He loved to sail and would rather catch fish than cook it.

Graveside Service
Family and friends are invited to Wilkesport Cemetery on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00am for a graveside service. Following the graveside please join the family at Brigden United Church for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

  3. The Glass family our very deepest sympathy to you all. Barrie and I grew up with Doug and our parents were friends from St. Paul’s United Church in Sarnia. Reading Doug’s obits. brought back so many memories of school at Johnston Memorial and Sunday School at the church. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
