Gorton, Melvin Charles

March 31, 1941 ~ February 02, 2018

GORTON, Melvin Charles Age 76, of Brigden, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 02, 2018 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Marie Gorton (LaPointe) for 57 years. Melvin will be missed by his son’s Rick (Tracey) Gorton and Randy Gorton and special niece Kerry (Tim) Harper. Survived by grandchildren Rick, Chris (Kelsey) and Brooke Gorton. Dear brother to Gwen (predeceased Carl) Randall and Neil (Ruth Anne) Gorton.  Predeceased by parents Floyd and Glenda Gorton.

Melvin was a construction foreman for several years and enjoyed farming for all of his life in Moore Township. There will be no visitation or service upon Melvin’s wishes.

Graveside
A family graveside service will be held on a later date.

Donations
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Moore Agricultural Society.

    Melvin was a dedicated volunteer that gave freely of his time and equipment. It is an enormous loss to the community.
