Resized image000000 1749483179161 1HARRIS, Doug – Age 78, of Oil Springs, passed away on Saturday, June 07, 2025 at Bluewater Health C.E.E. Site, Petrolia. Beloved Husband and best friend of Evon (Beauvais) for 60 years. Loving father of Clyde (Cindy), Harold (Martha) and Laura. Cherished grandfather of Rodney (Marlee), Breanna, Braeden (Taylor), Cholee (James), Irelynn, Travis, Ryan, Sarah (Jordon), Jeremy, Patience and Jr. Great grandfather of Bostyn, Baeya, Rayna, Belleray and Aaliyah. Dear brother of Leroy “Buck” (Aldea), Marion Munro, John, Janice, Pete (Dorothy) and Brenda Metcalfe. Survived by brother and sister in laws, Philip Morningstar, Douglas Jarvis and Donna Harris. Predeceased by siblings Betty Morningstar, Bill, Lucy Jarvis, Richard and two infant babies and his brother and sister in law Sharon Harris and Ron Munro. Doug will be missed by several friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Doug worked in Petrolia at the Drum factory for many years, he retired from Benn Iron in Wallaceburg after many years of work. Doug enjoyed fishing, farming and camping with his friends and family.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm for a visitation with a funeral service to follow.

Although it has been years since we last saw each other, I have fond memories of joy at the fun and great laughter we shared as kids, whenever we visited you at the farm. Uncle Doug loved to make us laugh. In fact, I have not known too greater people than aunt Evon and uncle Doug who could laugh so openly and so often.
