It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Edwin Harris, a beloved husband, father grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Tom passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025 at the age of 83.
Tom was a devoted husband of Judy Keenan Harris for 62 wonderful years. Together they build a life full of love, laughter and family. He was the proud father of David (Liz) Harris and Wendy (Rob) Annett and a cherished grandfather to Candace Dysart, Natash (Beaver Shaw) Harris, Katrina (Nick) Prosser, Karissa Pownall, Harris (Alli) Annett and Dean Annett. Toms was also the joyful great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense happiness.
A skilled machinist from the young age of 18, Tom later chose to share his talents and passion by becoming a high school teacher, where he thrived for 20 years, inspiring countless students with his knowledge and kindness.
Tom had a special gift with children. He adored babies and was always the first to scoop them up for long snuggles. His playful spirit shone through in the many card games, video games and yard game he enjoyed with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His teasing and laughter will be fondly remembered by all who had the joy of playing with “Grampa”.
An avid outdoorsman, Tom found peace and joy in nature. He created lasting memories on camping trips and walks in the bush, always ready with a perfectly roasted marshmallow and a warm smile.
Tom will be missed something fierce. His love, humour, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. While our hearts ache with his absence, we are comforted knowing he is at peace.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Brigden Community Hall (3016 Brigden Road, Brigden).
