HAYWARD, Donald Harold – Age 67 of Sarnia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home. Loving husband of Penny Lou Hayward (Parker) together for 17 years and married for 9 years. Loving father to the late Shawn Hayward and step father to Brittany Sayers. Survived by Daughter in-law Lori (John Maw). Cherished grandfather of Sheldon, Brooklyn, Justin and James. Dear brother of Ronald (Brenda) Hayward, Glenda (John) Sanderson and Cindy (Bruce) Spence. Survived by Sister-in-law Andrea (Lonnie) Squires, Holly Parker (Victor Lair) and Tracey Parker and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jean and George Hayward. Don worked at the Local 663 Pipefitter Union for over 40 years, enjoyed his trailer in the summer and loved visiting his grandkids.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

SERVICE DETAILS
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

DONATIONS
In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer society or the charity of your choice.

  11. to Penny and all of Donny’s family I have tried this is the third time to send condolences to you but I am not sure that they ever went through to the funeral home so I will try again My name is Gail Currie and I live in Goderich My brother Doug Fisher and Donny were very good friends when Doug lived in Sarnia I have fond memories of being with Donny too as he played his pipes for our parents 50th wedding anniversary in March of 1995 and I know that Donny visited Doug at our family cottage on Ahmic Lake and was there with my parents too so … our deepest condolences to you all Ronda and our daughter Trish went to Lambton College together so are on face book together so Trish saw the announcement last night and send me a message Our Mom died Nov 30th and ….. the waves of sadness come when you least expect them so DO take care Just wanted you to know we were thinking of you and share in your huge loss Sincere Sympathy to you all Gail and Doug Ray Shawn Trish and Bryan Currie

    My deepest condolences on the passing of Don. It was in December that Ron and I were talking about Don and how he was doing. This is unexpected to me and pains me deeply. He was a great tradesman, good Union member, enjoyed his family and left us with many memories. I will think of him often and remember the good times.
