She always had a clear understanding of what needed to be done and how to do it. More importantly she was always quick to volunteer her help with any project or undertaking to ensure its success. 14. My sincere sympathy to all the Hayward family: Lorraine was a wonderful lady that I truly looked up to and admired. She was one of my mentors in Lambton Presbyerial United Church Women. Lorraine served as Presbyterial President in 1990-1991. I was just started out attending meetings and she inspired me to go on to take the office in later years. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend. May all your precious memories of her be a comfort at this difficult time. Wilma Johnson, Past President of Lambton Presbyterial UCW

  17. Dear Melvin and Family, Lorraine was one of my mentors in all my connections with UCW and Lambton Presbytery. She always had kind and valuable advice. She valued her family and faith community, family first. Never one to be overly confident, she always did everything in her church leadership of Presbytery or UCW with perfection and great care and consideration. She was one fine example to follow as President of Lambton UCW. Well done good and faithful servant, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and daughter. She managed all these roles with perfection. May your memories be a blessing.
    With Love and deep admiration,
    Pat Whitton

  26. Dear Melvin, Laurie, Lisa and families. So sorry to hear of Lorraine’s passing. She was a special person and a wonderful neighbour on the Kimball. Our condolences and hugs to all of you.

  27. Lorraine welcomed me into the family with loving arms as her granddaughter in law. She ended each visit with a big hug always giving me a positive parting message about good things she saw in me. She was always so grateful when we would travel to visit her and always found ways to connect in between with cards in the mail for our daughter and thoughtful gifts for the next time she saw us. It was so clear the love and admiration their daughter (my mother in law) had for her mother and father in her steadfast friendship and care for them. The Haywards always want to do for others and have nothing done for them in their selfless service to community/friends/ family. Laurie was so happy having a nice meal/ day with her parents, as was my husband Jason. Lorraine had a warmth that was so inviting. Our daughter has her middle name and will wear it so proudly. It was a pleasure to know you Lorraine. You are greatly missed.
