HENDERSON, Reta Pearl (Sackrider) – Age 94 formerly of RR #3 Oil Springs peacefully passed away with family by her side on January 31, 2022 at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia. Beloved wife of the late Lorne C. Henderson (2002). Loving mother of Shirley (Bruce) Durance of Alvinston, David (Kathy) Henderson of Oil Springs and Marian (Jim) Redford of Chatham. Grandmother of Lorilee (Kevin) Fex, Lee-ah (Brad) McGann, Phillip Henderson, Sarah (Jeremy) Babcock, Brock, Olivia, and Will Redford. Great grandmother of Zachary and Zoe Fex, Luna McGann, Grace, Aubrey, and Vivian Babcock, Lily, Rider, and Hunter Henderson. Sister-in-law to Lillian (the late Ross) Maw and sister to Florence (the late Lorne) Given. Predeceased by parents Floyd Sackrider (1927) and Lula Pearl (Tracey) Sackrider-Maw (1985) and stepfather Frank W. Maw (1960), stepsister Mrs. Frank (Mildred) Jackson, brother-in-law Archie Henderson and sister-in-law to Marian (Verne) Patterson. Reta joined the Lady Washington Rebekah Lodge #337 of Oil Springs in 1947, she was a member of the Naomi Chapter #39 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of DO-R-BEST Women’s institute and a past Ladies President of Petrolia and Enniskillen Agricultural Society, and a past member of the Oil City United Church Women. The family would like to thank Fiddick’s Retirement and Nursing Home for their exceptional care during the last 10 years, and Dr. Susan Mather and Dr. Justin Mall for their compassionate medical care.
