picLAJOIE, Joseph “Bernard’’ – Age 81 of Sombra, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Dona Lajoie. Loving father of Mark (Lori) Lajoie, Brian Lajoie, Joanne (Tim) Pearson, Diane (Kevin) Bechard, Barry (Michelle) Lajoie, Allan (Heather) Lajoie and David Lajoie. Cherished grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 15. Dear brother of Mireille (late Paul) Beauchamp, Jacqueline (Joe) Kennedy, Jeanne D’arc (late Jerry) St. Pierre, Claudette (Don) Sonier, Marcel (Huguette) Lajoie, Jean Guy (Mary) Lajoie, Emiliene (late Homer) Phillion, Clothilde (Ron) Anderson. Brother-in-law of Jean and Helen Lajoie. Survived by Clifford “Bill” (Bonnie) Shephard and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Gaston and Christian.

Visitation
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with prayers starting at 3:30pm.

Funeral Service
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11:00am from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Port Lambton. Interment to follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Sombra.

Donations
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.

  11. My deepest condolences to the Lajoie family. I worked with Bernie and the boys for years at Chinook. I will always remember Bernie as a resourceful guy. He always tackled the tough jobs and got the work done. Always one of the most friendliest guys around. One of the good guys !
