Laur, Marlene

March 26, 1935 ~ November 29, 2024

IMG 0468 LAPTOP I0KEABUELAUR, Marlene Jean – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marlene Laur, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully. Marlene passed away on November 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness. Beloved mother of Craig and his wife Christine. Cherished grandmother of Alexys (Jacob) and Max (Abby). Dear sister of Donnie, Pat, Shirley and Doug. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Grace (nee Allison) Henderson and her brother Jim Henderson Sr. Marlene was a devoted mother to her son, Craig, and a doting grandmother whose life revolved around her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Marlene’s love for her family was the foundation of her life, and she will always be remembered for her unwavering devotion to them.
A long-time, dedicated employee of Jim’s Carpet Warehouse in Brigden, Marlene spent many years working diligently, and her commitment and work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Marlene’s kindness, warmth, and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who was fortunate enough to experience her love.

A private family service will be held in her honor at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca) Marlene’s memory.

May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the love she so freely gave.
