rsz_1leconte_pic2LE CONTE, Margaret Anna – It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Anna (nee Nicol) Le Conte of Sarnia, formerly of Brigden, on Saturday, September 13, 2014, one day after celebrating her 94th birthday. Dear daughter of the late James and Louisa (nee Gray) Nicol. Beloved wife of Howard Le Conte for 67 years. Loving mother of Brian (Ann) of Ottawa and Ian (Wendy) of Sarnia. Predeceased by daughter Jane (Robert Hanson) of Ottawa, 2012, and daughter-in-law Joan of Sarnia, 2005. Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also predeceased by brothers Keith, Delmar (Clara), Alex (Lyla), Graydon (Jean) and Lloyd, sisters Melba (Horace Hollands), Isabel (Marshall Moore) and Vera (Clayton Moore). The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care and support provided to Margaret and Howard at Twin Lakes Terrace and by the Red Cross/CCAC. Margaret was a lifelong member of the Brigden United Church and in recent years enjoyed attending London Road West United Church after moving to Sarnia.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5 to 8pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00am from the Funeral Home. Rev. Sandra Fogarty officiating. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Brigden United Church or Canadian Cancer Society.

  2. Dear Howard, Ian, Brian and their families, I am so very sorry for your loss. Margaret was a very special and great person. I have many fond memories from the visits, when we would stop for a visit while attending the fair, and from when I was younger and we lived in Brigden. Our families have been great friends for many years and I know she will be missed greatly.
    My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sorry I am not able to make it to the visitation and service.

    I was saddened to hear of Aunt Margaret’s passing. I will not be able to attend the visitation or Funeral as I am having surgery. Please accept my deepest sympathy.. I will drop in on Mon when I am at work to see your Dad.
