Long, Nancy Louise

LONG, Nancy Louise (nee Beattie) – Age 83 of Corunna, Ontario (formerly of Mooretown and Cairngorm, Ontario) passed away peacefully on Friday July 3rd, 2020 at Bluewater Health with her family by her side. Loving wife of 60 years to Arthur Long. Survived by sons Rob (Janet) of Corunna, Ontario and Jeff of Port Elgin, Ontario; grandchildren Austin, Karleen, Nicole, Adam, and Eric; sisters-in law Marie (Glen) Scott, Rosalie Long, Sharon Long and Audrey Beattie; along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archie (1959) and Hilda (1986); brothers Jack (2002) and Patten (2016); nephews Paul Beattie (1966) and Wray Long ( 2013); niece Brenda Beattie Hearn (2019); brothers in law Leslie Long (2009), William Young (2013), and Allan Long (2017); and sister in law Joyce Young (1966). Nancy was a proud graduate of Sarnia General Hospital’s Nursing Program (1959) and worked for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sarnia, Ontario. Nancy found joy spending time with her family, friends and especially with her grandchildren. Nancy’s family would like to thank Dr. Robert Borek and the many frontline health care professionals at Bluewater Health who provided her with continuing care during her stay in hospital.

Funeral Details
A private family funeral service has taken place at STEADMAN BROTHER’S FUNERAL HOME, BRIGDEN. Interment at Moore Union Cemetery.

  2. So sorry on the loss of Nancy. She was a wonderful person with a great sense of humour. Both Bob and I enjoyed talking with her when we had the chance. We have certainly missed her for quite some time in church. Know that we are mourning her loss along with you.

She was always such a fun and loving person to be around. Always had such great Humour and suggestions. May your many great memories be of comfort to you and your boys and their families.
