Lumley, Stuart Wayne

March 07, 1941 ~ April 20, 2021

Lumley PictureLUMLEY, Stuart Wayne – It is with unimaginable sadness that we share the passing of one of the best! Surrounded by his family at home, Stuart Lumley passed away on April 20, 2021 in his 81st year. He loved his wife Jean for over 20 years, with every ounce of his being. He cherished his children, Marvin (Annette) Lumley, Brian Lumley, Beverley (Scott) Jones, Susan (Eugene) Packet and stepdaughter Laura (Steve) Welch. But we all knew his heart was most full when he was surrounded by his grandchildren. He loved, and was so incredibly proud of all of them, Karla, Paige, Ryan, Tyler, Mark, Dustin, Shane, Bailey, Jake, Megan and especially his special ones Jada, Alex and Austin. Stu is survived by his mother Mary Doherty, as well as his brother Phil (Joan) Lumley and Sean (Helena) Doherty. He was a beloved brother-in-law and uncle to many who loved him dearly. Stuart spent most of his life in the trucking business working most of his years with Bulk Carriers, Provost and Harold Marcus. He was a proud and long-standing member of both the Knights of Pythias and the local Legions. Most will remember him as an avid baseball fan and coach. He started his coaching in Wallaceburg minor system with his son at Tyke age through Senior. His proudest moments came when he and Marvin went on to win 5 Golds, and watching his grandson play all over the country. Although our hearts our broken, we know he is not suffering anymore. We are forever grateful for those that were a blessing in his life. A special thank you goes out to the VON and Dr. Kim, we can never thank you enough for making his last hours comfortable and peaceful.

Funeral Details
