MacAlpine, Brenda

July 14, 1961 ~ March 8, 2023

MacAlpine, Brenda Marie – Born and raised in Sarnia, resident of Brigden, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Brenda was the type of person anyone would be lucky to know and even luckier to love.  She was the beloved wife and best friend of Bill MacAlpine for 29 years and will forever be missed by her sons, Cameron and Ryan. Preceded in death by her mother Val (Peter) Henderson and father Joe Shearer. With a smile that lit up any room and an open-door policy, Brenda was a friend to many. She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Janice (Rick), Diane (Jim), Sue (Bruce), Peter Jr. (Chilo), Lisa (Tom), Mary Jo (Stan), Sean and Kate. Fondly remembered by mother-in-law Marilyn (Murray) and sister-in-law Lynn (Aurelio). Cherished Aunt to: Alex (Jacqui), Erin (Keegan), Lyndsay (Chad), Aris, Allison, Cleveland, Evalynn, Kiara, Mason, Michael and Oscar. Brenda was a strong woman who wore her heart on her sleeve and never backed down from a challenge. She made everyone who knew her a little better while still remembering to enjoy the small things in life. There are no words to describe how great of a loss we all feel at this moment. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Bridgen Firemen’s Association (cheques can be mailed to the funeral home).
