MacPHERSON, Edward “Bruce” – Age 88, of Corunna formally of Mooretown, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Beloved husband of Mary “Margaret” MacPherson (nee Young). Loving father of Jim, Robert (Laurie), Marianne (Mark), Gerry (Carol), Lou and John (Jeri). Special grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 31. Brother of Isobel Nisbet (Charlie). Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mamie MacPherson, siblings Donald and Margaret, grandson Cole and great-granddaughter Tressa. Bruce will be missed by many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bruce had a trucking business for years and was a proud and dedicated farmer who will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, December 07, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restriction, those who wish to attend must RSVP with a time to attend the visitation at https://signup.com/go/zsSgmfc.

Funeral Service

    I wish to express my sincerest sympathy at the loss of your husband, Bruce. You may not remember me but I grew up 3 farms east of you and many years ago I occasionally babysat for you. I remember Bruce as a happy, cheerful man and you as an energetic young woman so very busy with your young family. I just lost my husband of 50 years ,six months ago and can only begin to imagine how you and your family must feel. I will remember you in my prayers that you can find peace and acceptance and the strength to go on .

He certainly was “one of a kind” and such a mentor to me (even if he didn’t realize it) during the time we worked together at the Township. He says Bruce was the best neighbour he had. He always had a smile. He has left a legacy of friendship. Our loving sympathy goes out to the whole family.

To Margaret and family , sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing, always a good neighbor, i remember several years ago we had a heavy snow storm Jim was laid up with a broken leg, we heard a noise outside ,it wasBruce in a roadgrader clearing our driveway, when he was finished he waved and backed out and left,a great neighbour .

    We are so sorry for the loss of Bruce. It’s hard to imagine a world without him. He will be greatly missed by the entire community. Both of us have such wonderful memories of Bruce making us smile throughout our lives; with Brenda growing up across the road and Bruce offering Ralph his first truck-driving job as a teenager(no licence/no worries/haha), and through to our lives today. He was a good man that will be missed in so many ways.
