As a quiet, shy 12 yr old when I went to 4-H she was an older member who made me feel welcome which lead to lifelong friends and lessons learned through many years as a member and leader for myself and my family. Years later when my mother had surgery and was quite anxious, Joanne’s calming presence as her nurse gave her comfort as she cared for her. She was a wonderful person
