MATTHEWS, Annie Louise – Peacefully passed during the night of Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Middlesex Terrace, Delaware at the age of 92.  Louise was born May 12, 1923 in Moore Township to Ambrose and Lena (nee Armstrong) Rumbold. Beloved wife of the late Clayton Matthews (2005) for 65 years. Loving mother of Carol (Brian) Cannom of Delaware and the late Gary (2007) (Janis) Matthews of Brigden. Cherished grandmother of Samuel Cannom, Ann (Derek) Bonin, Allison (David) Cieri, Craig (Melissa) Matthews and Trevor Matthews (Alanna Quock). Great-grandmother, fondly referred to as “GG” by Anthony and Ryder Cieri, Kaiya, Halia, Quinn and Mazlyn Bonin, and Grayson Matthews.  Survived by her brother Melvin (Ruby) Rumbold and sister-in-law Hazel Rumbold. Predeceased by brothers Delmar, Edward (Nancy) Rumbold and sister Helen (Orlo) Fournie. Louise will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:00am until the memorial service time at 11:30am. Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Sixth Line United Church.
