McLAUGHLIN pic2McLAUGHLIN, Neil Wilbert – Age 78 of Sarnia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Neil will be lovingly remembered by his Aunt Dorothy, many cousins and special friends. He is predeceased by his mother Verna (Mannen) in 1979 and his father Wilbert in 1984. Neil retired from Dow but stayed active with his farm on Oil Springs Line in St. Clair Township. He was very kind, curious and always ready with a story. He loved visiting with everyone and enjoyed travelling, aviation, reading and the computer.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00pm

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00am from the Funeral Home. Allan McKeown officiating. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

  1. Neil was nice to the core. He was always in a good mood and always had an interesting story to tell. I really enjoyed talking to him at family gatherings, because he would teach me something with every conversation. I will miss him.

  4. Neil always came to Alberta to visit us and we spent a lot of great times with him and the last few years Neil and I spent many hours talking on Skype (computer). We will miss you Neil, know you are now in a better place, where you won’t have gout, other aches and pains, and you can still grow a good crop of soy beans. We will miss you. Lynne, Darlene and Cal, Darrin and Kathy, Andrea and Dan, Corinna and Dave, plus seven grandchildren.

  5. Neil was my next door neighbour when I was growing up on Essex St. He was a kind and caring man, eager to help, always with a smile and a story to tell. I have very fond memories of him.
