MILLER, William James – Age 86, formerly of Mooretown, resident of Thompson Gardens, Corunna, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Lois Miller (nee Bruton) for 61 years. Loving father of Heather Freer, David (Deborah) Miller and Steven (Kerri) Miller. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa (Jason Stark) Freer, Kayla (Adam) McPhedran, Sarah Miller, Justine Miller, Garrett Miller. Great-grandfather of Kennady and Elliot Stark, Hadley, Charlotte and Oliver McPhedran. Dear brother of Gloria (late Joseph) McLaughlin. Survived by sisters-in-law Kathryn (Bo) Petroff, Lynn (Jim Miller) Moore as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary (nee Marsh) Miller as well as his siblings John (Betty) Miller, June (Ivan) Fowler, Charles Miller.

Bill lived all his life on the 6th Line, farming and spending time with his 6th line community friends. He was a member of 6th Line United Church and sang in the church choir and enjoyed going to local jamborees where he enjoyed playing fiddle. He was a member of the Brigden optimist, and enjoyed spending time curling, playing baseball, hockey and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays Fan. He was involved with the Mooretown Flags executive, enjoyed coaching sports and was a constant critic of the officiating of all sports games, especially his kids and grandkids. Bill was a 50 year member of the Leopold Masonic Lodge in Brigden and was involved with the Lambton Shriners as well as the Scottish Rite.

A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 at 3:15pm.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
