MITCHELL, James AndrewPeacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Bluewater Health – C.E.E. Site, Petrolia at the age of 90.  Beloved husband of the late Sonja Mitchell (nee Bruggmann) (2007).  Loving father of Paul Mitchell, Judy (Fred) Neathway and Tom Mitchell.  Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Andie Mitchell, Nikki (Jason) Tremain, Andrew and Courtney Mitchell. Dear brother of the late Wilbert (Shirley) Mitchell, Lil (late Joe) Hoskin, Marie (late Don Youngs) DeKeyser, the late Betty (late Earl) Johnson, Reta (late Jack) McLean, Donna (late Cliff) Oliver, Doris (Ed) Storey and brother-in-law of Jim (Diane) Kells, Ernie (Margo) Kells. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Lillie (nee Welch) Mitchell. Jim was a dairy farmer on the 2nd line for many years, was an avid square dancer for 40 years, loved camping and spending winters in Arizona.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Oil Springs Cemetery.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia.

  8. To Judy, Paul and Tom. My sincere condolences to the family. On my visit Sunday, I could se how much he was loved by his children. Although I knew him only a few years, he always made me feel like I belonged. He is now at peace and passed with much love around him.
