NEWMAN, Raymond “Dean” – Age 91, formerly of Brigden, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia. Beloved husband of Eileen (McEwan) for 67 years. Loving father of Wayne (Patti) Newman, Dale (Vicki) Newman and Barry (Tammy) Newman. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Brad (Page), Nick (Katie), Shaun, Katelyn, Scot, Jae-lin. Dear brother of Ona Campbell and Jean (Ross) Smith. Survived by in-laws Gordon (Betty) McEwan and Donalda Patterson. Predeceased by his parents William and Sadie (Nicol) Newman, brothers Lyle (Catherine), George, Robert (Doris), Melvin (Margaret), Lee and in-laws Donald Campbell, Eunice (Pete) Henderson, Geraldine (Jack) Tancock and Donald Patterson.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Friday September 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Brigden United Church or C.E.E. Hospital Foundation.

    I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. He was a great man, always smiling. I remember how he enjoyed working in the vegetable garden and working in his “beautiful” petunias along side the driveway. The best neighbors anyone could ask for. My thoughts are with you.   5. Dean was such a special man with a big smile and acknowledgment for all. I have many fond memories of Dean who supported the Kiltie band.
