Condolences (22)

  1. My deepest condolences to all the Pratt and Piggott family for the loss of a beautiful, fantastic, loving lady. Known to me as my Aunt Marion. And probably you also. If not dear friend for sure.

  2. So sad I have just lost my very best friend. Sending my sympathy to the Pratt family, Ron and Wanda losing his Aunt and Ken losing losing his sister

  3. We are saddened at the passing of Aunt Marion. We have fond memories of summer visits to the farm where she was always kind and considerate to friends and family, particularly children, while carrying on with the daily duties of running a farm. After a long and productive life we wish her peace and we know there will be card games, which she enjoyed so much, where she is.

  4. To a long life will lived. Marion was considerate of those less fortunate, whether in spirit or means, dedicated to the Church which gave her a strength of spirit over the years, and devoted to those family members who passed before her, and to those who in time will follow. Aunt Marion, we will miss you … until we meet again.
    Bob and Bill Hayter

  5. Our sincere sympathy to the Piggott and Pratt families. So sorry for your loss. The Mitchells have some wonderful childhood memories of her. She was such a lovely person.

  6. Sincere sympathy to all the Pratt & Piggott families on the passing of Marion. The beautiful picture is Marion to a tee, always smiling no matter what was happening or how tired she was from all the hard work she did. She was a great lady inside & out.

  7. Such wonderful memories of Aunt Marion. There was a period in our lives when Christmas meant gathering with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in the basement of Uncle Bev and Aunt Marion’s home. The basement was huge, with its own kitchen, a pool table and slippery vinyl floors that allowed the kids to take a running start and slide virtually from one end to the other of the basement. Aunt Marion was invariably kind and thoughtful, to everyone…a quality which is not as common as we would like. After hosting a crowd of family, she would often need to slip out to do the chores, feed the cows etc. At the time, I didn’t give adequate consideration to how strong and disciplined she was to do just that. Rest in Peace Aunt Marion. You were an amazing woman.

  8. Our sympathy goes out to all those who share in the loss of Aunt Marion. Having married into the family gave us a unique opportunity to relish the acceptance so richly bestowed on us by this very special lady. Her upbeat personalty and her”I am all right”, no matter the circumstances comment, showed her positive resolve and made her a joy to be around. Her care for others was evident in all she said and did. We’ll have to live with the fact that she enjoyed beating us in a game of cards. She will be deeply missed.
Sincerely, Rose Pratt and Wouter Manten

  9. Deepest sympathy to the Piggott/Pratt families in the loss of Marion. She was always a sweet women who seemed to have a heart of gold. Keep your memoires close.

  10. Condolences to the family of Marion Piggott. We were so sorry to hear of her passing and know her past dedication to the Brigden United Church and the Do R Best Women’s Institute made her an important part of Brigden’s History

  11. On behalf of my parents, Elio & Josephine, as well as myself and my husband, I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to the entire Piggott and Pratt family. We feel so blessed to have met “Aunt” Marion through my brother-in-law, Shawn. She was so welcoming to all of us and treated us as an extension to her own family. We have many fond memories of her especially her homemade grape juice. She will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her. Please know that we are sending love to each of you and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

  12. Sorry to hear about Marion passing but she always seemed to enjoy life no matter what was happening. She has been a stand by on the second line for many years(79 years?).
