PROUSE – Frances Wilma (McKellar) age 80 of Mooretown, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved wife of Jack Prouse for 60 years. Loving mother of Jim and Reta (Robert) Robinson. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Geremy) McFadden, Ryan Robinson, and great grandmother of Calliope McFadden. Dear sister of the late Jean (the late Walter) VanDale, Anna (the late George) Litchfield, Donna (Richard) Douglas and Don (the late Margaret) McKellar. Predeceased by her parents Donald and Beatrice McKellar. Survived by many friends, cousins and nieces and nephews. Frances was a proud member of The Sixth Line United Church, The Women’s Institute and was a Parking Chairman for the Brigden Fair. Frances will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation
Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, BRIGDEN.

Funeral Service
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11am from the funeral home.

  4. I was in dialysis with Frances and always laughed to see her come flying in to the clinic on her scooter! I also appreciated her colorful clothes , hats and beautifully manicured nails. I was so sorry to hear of her passing

  5. Sad news to hear of Frances passing. She was a trooper and fought through all her health struggles for many years. She will be missed by all at Sixth Line Church. Sending heart felt condolences to Jack, Jim and Reta and her grandchildren. She was so proud of her new great granddaughter. Rest in peace Frances.
