RICHARD, Betty Jean (nee Buckingham) – Age 72, formerly of Brigden passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia. Loving wife of Beniot Richard, formerly of Magdeline Island, Quebec. Loving mother of Nancy Secord (Jay Tracey). Cherished grandmother of Alexa Secord and Brandon Secord. Dear sister of Margaret (Gord) Hayes, Jim (Judy) Buckingham, Jake (Barb) Buckingham. Survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and cousins. Predeceased by her brother Jerry Buckingham (1991) and her parents John Arthur Buckingham (2000) and Lula Mary Jean Gorton (2005). Betty enjoyed her career as a Nurse, spending time with family and travelling.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

    I knew Betty from elementary school and as a nurse at the hospital, she was always a truly caring person. She will be missed by those who knew her.

  3. My deepest sympathy to Ben and family. I have many memories of growing up down on the 2nd line and singing in the Calvary Church Choir with Betty and the many memories of the reunion Anna’s Girls.

  4. So sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. I worked with her for several years, she was a wonderful nurse. She was so kind and gentle. It was a privilege to have been a co-worker of hers. Rest in peace Betty, you will be missed.

  11. I was so sorry to hear the Betty has passed away, We went to High School together At St. Clair High School and always enjoyed her humor. I also had a son who was at Trillium Villa, who had just passed away. Two of my daughters worked at Trillium Villa, Maxine told me that Betty was there, so I visited with Betty as often as I could Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your Family. .
