SHEFFER, Stella Marion – Age 88, formerly of Wilkesport, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia. Beloved wife of the late Roy Lewis Sheffer (1990). Loving mother of Ronnald Sheffer (late Marg O’Bradovic, 2022), Rosemary Johnston, Katherine (Alvin) Scott. Cherished grandmother of Carrie (Dan) Vancoillie, Dennis (Deb) Sheffer, Maggie (Larry) Laprise, Erin (Shawn) Tomlinson, Julie Johnston, Cindy Johnston, Michael (Sheila) Johnston, Trevor Cranmer-Johnston, Travis (Emily) Cranmer-Johnston, Roderick (Nicole) Scott, Marcy Scott (Mike). Great-grandmother Kayla, Kaitlyn, Haley and Hanna Vancoillie, Drew Jones, Miranda and Maddison Sheffer, Lucas and Laryn Laprise, Brianna, Abby and Kyla Tomlinson, Jonathan Chamberlain, Kylie, Jace and Lainie Johnston, Austin Bell, Lily Scott. Dear sister of the late Tom (Anne) McLaughlin. Survived by sister-in-law Ruby Bailey.

Stella was an avid quilter, and a member of the Brigden Country Quilters.  She also spent almost 2 decades leading the Brigden chapter of TOPS.  She enjoyed attending Brigden Community Church and Christian Women’s Breakfasts in Sarnia. You could often find Stella at parks and arenas across the county cheering on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Stella was known as ‘Gramma’ to many and wasn’t shy with hugs for those she loved.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Moore Union Cemetery, Mooretown.

  36. Oh what a charming gentle lady with her crochet and her plastic canvas work. I still enjoy her Kleenex box she made. She was a great hugger too. She is missed already at church but because of Jesus we will see her in glory and get another hug. Deepest Sympathies to you all
