Simpson, Jean

September 5, 1942 ~ July 2, 2020

SIMPSON, Jean Elizabeth (nee Lloyd) – It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jean Elizabeth Simpson at the age of 77. Jean will be greatly missed by her daughter Kerry Jacklin and son-in-law Roy, grandchildren Karli and Brad Brooker, Kristi Jacklin, Kati Jacklin, Brad Jacklin (Natalia) and great-grandchildren Ethan and Alexis Brooker. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Lorne (2012) and three children: Terry (1959), Lynn (1962) and Paul (1981). Jean was born in 1942 to the late Morris and Susan Lloyd. She was the beloved younger sister of Ray Lloyd and his wife Marjorie. Jean will be missed by her sisters-in-law Kay (Lorne) Burke, Sharon (Steve) Smith, and Jackie Simpson. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law Grant Simpson and her sisters-in-law Carol (Ed) Farmer and Beth Simpson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean had many happy years spent on the farm, on vacations with friends and visiting the cottage in Kettle Point. She was always able to find humor in any situation and could easily match wits with the best of them. She will be remembered forever by all those who knew her.

A private family service will be held at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden. Marie McNally officiating. Interment in Alvinston Cemetery.
