Smith, Alice

June 5, 1940 - August 29, 2015

Alice Wilhemine (Currah) Smith,age 75, formerly of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday August 29, 2015 at Watford Quality Care Centre. Beloved wife of the late Donald William Smith (2005). Loving mother of Penny and her husband Geoff Cox of Wyoming. Predeceased by her parents Elmer and Margaret (Finch) Currah, her brother Leonard (Phyllis) Currah and infant sister Eliza Alberta Elizabeth Currah. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Wednesday September 2, 2015 2-4 and 7-9pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral Service will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 11:00am with Rev. Betty Jean Page officiating.

INTERMENT
Interment in Black Creek Cemetery.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. It’s never easy to let them go. I lost my Mom 27 years ago.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss penny n Geoff Alice was best friends with mom n now they can be together doing there own thing in heaven. If her and mom hadn’t been very close friends penny n I wouldn’t of been best friends I can’t even imagine that we grew up together and had some amazing times love ya gf huggs

  5. Sending my condolences to the Smith,Cox and Currah families:(:( My parents Ron and Diane Farr rented from the Currahs and then Don and Alice for many years over 20 I presume. My mother was a very close friend of Alice’s, they gardened, quilted, canned and had many good conversations. I have many memories of their visits with us in Wyoming and at their farm on Shiloh :):) I extend my sympathies Dawn Marie Farr-Oliver
