SMITH picSMITH, Violet Lily – Age 97, formerly of Moore Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia. Beloved wife of the late James Henry Smith (2009). Loving mother of Sandra Ellenor of Belle River and Paul (Susan) Smith of RR#1 Mooretown. Cherished grandmother of Shelly (Shawn) Grylls, Pamela Dugal, Ezio De Santis, Lisa Smith and Amanda (Sean) Jenkins. Great-grandmother of Wesley, Josh, Brandi and Tessa. Great-great-grandmother of Jacob Dugal. Predeceased by her parents John and Lily (Clarke) Wareham and brother Cyril (Kathleen) Wareham. Violet was a Life Member of Knox-Moore Presbyterian Church and taught piano for many years.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Sarnia.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Knox-Moore Presbyterian Church.

  1. Paul, my condolences. Violet was such a beautiful lady in every way. I believe I was her first piano student and I learned so much from her. It saddened me to read this although I know she is now free of all pain and walking in heaven with God.

  2. So sorry to hear about the passing of Violet . I use to see her while I worked on the floor as a PSW at LMV. She always enjoyed chating with you and always was so thankful for everything that we did for her. She will be missed by so many. Former PSW from LMV. Maureen Bailey from A.E.C. from LMV !!
