Amelia Elizabeth (Pretty) STRUCK – Age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Elgin J. Struck (1988). Daughter of the late Russell and Frances (Johnson) Pretty. Loving mother of the late Barbara (Wm. J.) Kilbreath of Lions Head, Nancy (late Charles) Roberts of Wallaceburg, Patricia (late Murray) Mills of Oil Springs, Jack (Sheila) Struck of Sarnia, Frances (Peter) Clarke of St. Andrews Manitoba, Russell (June) Struck of Brigden, Dorothy (Terry) Harapiak of Winnipeg Beach Manitoba. Cherished grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 38 and great-great-grandmother of 17. Predeceased by her sisters Mary (Clyde) Lobban, Elvie (Harold) Johnson and Olive Pretty, brother-in-law Charles (Ruth) Struck and great-grandson Jeremy Mills. Amelia was a Life Member of Lady Martha Rebekah Lodge in Brigden. Amelia and her husband owned and operated Struck’s Red and White Store for 20 years in Brigden, after Amelia worked in merchandise sales in Sarnia for many years. She will be sadly missed by all her family.
LODGE SERVICE
A Lady Martha Rebekah Lodge Service will be held on Friday, May 6, at 6:45pm.
VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00am from the funeral home.

Such a beloved cousin. I remember family gatherings at my grand parents farm in Wilksport, with Amelia attending. Condolences from our family. I am the granddaughter of Ralph K. and Gladys Pretty and youngest of Ralph E. and Shirley Pretty from Corunna ON. I currently reside in Dutton, ON.

Amelia is a big part of my childhood memories, going to store and chatting with her, seeing her a church, and in later years chatting with her at Brigden Fair. So sorry for your (our) loss. Amelia was a blessing in so many ways. She helped me a great deal with my Pretty Family Ancestry research. I have missed her these past few years, as we were neighbors, and lived in the same neighborhood. I was able to visit with her on occasion. Then, I had a Christmas card returned one year, and did not know where she had moved on to. She was a lovely person. Rest in peace Amelia.
