THOMAS, Evelyn Margaret – passed away suddenly at her home on October 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Born on February 13, 1939. Evelyn devoted her life to hard work on the farm with Bill and her family. Loving wife of the late Bill (2024). Proud mother of Debbie (Mike) VanDaele and Brenda (Thom) McLean. Cherished grandmother of Dane VanDaele, Riley VanDaele (Kristyn Saunders) and Alexis McLean. Dear sister to Freida (the late Bob) Alderman. Survived by sister-in-law Doris (the late Ross) Cameron, Wes (Gloria) Thomas and sister-in-law Colleen (the late Ted) Thomas. Predeceased by parents Maurice (Doris) Wright and in-laws Peter (Mary) Thomas. Evelyn’s pride and joy was her family and grandkids and working beside the love of her life Bill.
A family service took place at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Interment was held at Oil Springs Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donation to C.E.E Hospital Foundation (https://ceehf.ca/) Please mail or drop off cheques to the funeral home.

I met Evelyn and Bill many years ago,working with Ivan Evan’s,filling silo. Very nice people and she was an amazing cook. Condolences to the family.
