Van Troost, Madeline Mary

VAN TROOST, – Madeline (McLaughlin) of RR#1 Brigden, passed away peacefully in her 101st year, on May 12, 2023, with her daughter Betty by her side.    Survived by her children Betty Glass, Charlene (Ronan), Debbie Allen, and Peter Jr (Tammy). Grandchildren Wade Glass (Trish), Cassie Glass, Wendy Langford (Steve), Steve Allen (Lisa), Rachael Allen (Mike), Allison Van Troost, and Jessica Van Troost.  Great- grandchildren Jakob, Jaxen, Mya, Tori, Emily, Joshua, Ben, Madison, Wyatt, Charlotte, Simone, Bennett, and Mackenzie. Also survived by sister-in-law Annie McLaughlin, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Peter Van Troost (2010), son-in-law Doug Glass (2017), and grandson Donald Glass. Madeline lived in the family home until age 99, and spent 2 happy years at Vision Nursing Home. Madeline was one of a kind, a very special lady. She was our Matriarch of the family, who put family above all else and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all the staff at Vision, particularly the PSW’s, for the wonderful care Madeline received.

Funeral Details
Friends and family will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, BRIGDEN on May16, 2023 from 7 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Corunna on May 17, 2023 at 11:00am. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Corunna.
