It is with much sadness that the family of Elisabeth Vanderhulst (Reintjes) announce her passing on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Vision Nursing home in Sarnia at the age of 100. Lovingly remembered by her children Yvonne Vanderhulst, Richard Vanderhulst (Janet), Monique Deschenes (John), and Douglas Vanderhulst (Lisa). Oma to Melissa Stiefel (Bryan), Rachelle Hill (Nathan), and Craig Vanderhulst (Briar). Great Oma to Benjamin Vanderhulst, Nell Hill and Cooper Vanderhulst. Dear Sister to George Reintjes and Tony Reintjes (Bonny). Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Abel, her Grandson Eric Vanderhulst, her sisters Grace, Corrie and brother Jan. Elisabeth (Elly) enjoyed seeing the changes of the seasons while working as a mail carrier in Bright’s Grove. Gardening was her ultimate passion, and she enjoyed camping with her family. She spent many years as a snowbird travelling to Florida with her husband Abel. Elly could hold a room when telling her stories adding a lot of physical descriptions and drama, which would leave all laughing hysterically. She will be sadly missed. A private family service will be held at a later date.
