Watterworth, Mary

July 22, 1937 ~ December 24, 2025

IMG 9874Mary Watterworth, affectionately known as Nana, lived a beautiful life, left us peacefully on December 24th, 2025. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Douglas Watterworth (2006). Loving mother of Joanne Nanni (Jim), Paul Watterworth (Paula), Norma Unsworth (Rod) and Lisa McCarley (Clay). Cherished grandmother of Pamela (Paul) de Pencier and Monica (Shawn) Young, Josh (Annika) Watterworth and Jessica Watterworth, Megan Unsworth and Matt (Adrienne) Unsworth, Christopher (Maddie) Gregg and Kyle Gregg.  Mary’s greatest joy was her family and was a heck of a playmate to Violet, Alice, Ben, Eli, Albert and Vincent, her great grand children. Mary will be sadly missed, always remembered by many extended family and friends especially the Leones. Mary’s life was a tapestry of love, tenacity, with lots of hobbies including gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and a fierce Pepper and Euchre player.   Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Petrolia Community Refrigerator http://www.petroliakiwanis.ca/donate or cash/cheque to the Lambton Centennial School Playground Project.
