WEBSTER, John “Jack” Gordon – Age 85, of Oil Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia. Beloved husband of Leda (nee Bradshaw) Webster for 63 years. Loving father of Patricia Ann Webster of Burnaby, B.C. and Catherine Mae McLean of Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Darryl Patrick McLean of Sarnia. Survived by his sister Mona Lawhon of Texas, in-laws Edward (Lucille) Bradshaw, Gerald (late Lillian) Bradshaw, Leo (Jean) Bradshaw, Barbara (Denys) Stewart, Rosemary (late Bruce) Bradshaw and the late Noreen Bradshaw-Roy. Predeceased by his parents George and Mae (Hurd) Webster, sisters Marion Jones, Violet Prestanski, Viola McLachlan, sons-in-law Bruce Gongola and Donald McLean. Jack had a great passion for the outdoors, fishing and photography. He worked at Imperial Oil for 35 years. Jack belonged to the Oil Springs Heritage Committee and lived in Oil Springs for over 81 years. A special thank-you to Fiddick’s Nursing Home and Lambton Meadowview Villa Nurses, staff and Dr. Li.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Dresden Cemetery.

DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

    Sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. I always remember thinking “That man is really tall” of course that doesn’t take much when your 5’3″ and now shrinking. Cherish all your memories and stay close,
