FINKBEINER, Ralph Wayne – Age 81 of Courtright, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Linda Hussey. Loving father of the late Jeff Finkbeiner, Holly (Paul) Aarssen. Dear grandfather of Natasha, Tammy (Cris), Amanda, Amy, Allyson, Courtney, Makenna and 4 great-grandchildren. Step-father to Scott (Victoria) Hussey, Shane Hussey and his children Hallie and Lindsay. Dear brother to Melvin (Stella) Finkbeiner, Elva (Dennis) McIntyre, late James (Linda) Finkbeiner and late Carol Finkbeiner. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Russell and Dorothy (Ryckman) Finkbeiner. Ralph worked for the Ontario Provincial Police for 30 years in Sombra, was on the Police boat for 17 years and was a member of the OPP Veterans Association. He was a member of the St. Clair Masonic Lodge No. 425, Sombra for many years.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Monday, June 28. 2021. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, those who wish to attend must RSVP with a time to attend the visitation: https://signup.com/go/yLATEjK

PRIVATE FUNERAL
A private family funeral service will be held at the funeral home.

  6. We are very sad to hear the passing of Ralph Finkbeiner. Ralph was our next door Neighbor when we lived on John Street in Port Lambton. Our children played together, Linda and I have great memories having Ralph as a neighbor. Ralph and I also attended lodge together in Sombra.   17. We are so sorry to hear of Ralph’s passing. He had a wonderful career and enjoyed his retirement with Linda on the river. We enjoyed his company at local events and know he was a faithful supporter of local groups/events.. Thinking of you all.

  20. Ralph was always a great friend. We worked 3 summers together on the boat and I learned so much from him. Not just navigation, mechanics and seamanship, but how to be a better person. You are missed Sir.

  33. I had the pleasure of working a Wallaceburg – Sombra combined marine patrol with Ralph for an entire summer on the old Sombra boat back in the 80s. Ralph always struck me as the strong silent type but always gave the impression that he had your back when needed. He was a wealth of information on marine patrol and boats in general. I had the pleasure a few times of having coffee with him at our retiree breakfasts in Sarnia in more recent years. Ralph will be missed by all. Rest In Peace Brother.

  36. My sincere sympathies to Linda, Holly and family. I am so sorry to hear about Ralph. I have so many fond memories of Ralph helping my Dad and I at our shop (Anthony Contracting). Quite often a police cruiser would be on scene at one of our jobs. I will never forget the day I looked over and Ralph was raking dirt in a trench in full uniform, so many good memories!! Ralph was a great friend to our family and a huge help too say the least . Sending hugs to you all.

  43. My condolences to the Finkbeiner family. I have very good memories of working with Ralph and sharing conversation with him over coffee during my time with Sombra OPP. I transferred to another location in 1993, however Ralph was one of those individuals who was liked and respected by everyone who knew him. A humble man who was really one of the good guys.
