Shephard, Erie

September 18, 1927 ~ November 13, 2018

SHEPHARD, Erie May – Passed away at Bluewater Health – C.E.E. Site, Petrolia on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Erie May (Dennett) Shephard, left us to rejoin her beloved husband Gordon, as well as her parents Delos and Ethel (Glass) Dennett and brother Jim. Our hearts are heavy, yet grateful to have loved and been loved by such an amazing woman that the world was truly blessed to have known for the past 91 years. Erie was a devoted wife to Gordon, and loving Mother to Dianne and her husband Larry Bannerman, and Darlene and her late husband Mike Nottley. Cherished Grandmother to Kurt Bannerman and his wife Karrie, Susanne Baxter and her partner Mike Genthner, and Michelle Nottley. Erie wasn’t merely a Great-Grandmother, but more aptly an exceptional one, to Violet and Lincoln Bannerman, and Mackenzie, Jackson, Kirstie and Katie Genthner. Erie will be remembered as a kind and loving sister to Katherine and the late Jim Gibbs, Mary and husband Al Dagg and youngest brother Bill and his wife Shirley (Oliver) Dennett, as well as an amazing Aunt by many nieces and nephews on both the Dennett and Shephard sides of the family. Dear sister-in-law of Buelah and her late husband Ken Ferguson, Marie and her husband John McLellan. Predeceased by in-laws Mildred and her husband Graham Wilkins, Florence and her husband Lyle Gaw, Helen and her husband Omer Thibert, Lorraine and her husband Bill Burgess. For over 70 years Erie was a proud member of the Lady Martha Rebekah Lodge of Brigden, as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 635 of Brigden.
